Hi there! I’m Olive, and I’m so glad you’re here.

A little bit about me:

I am introverted and intimate, a free spirit and an old soul. I am the second of my parents’ five daughters, wife of an exceptionally cool accountant, mother of three kiddos, graduate of Brigham Young University, Idaho dweller, and aspiring cowgirl. And, of course, a writer, book designer, and self-publishing guide.

But most importantly, I’m a listener.

My mom says that even as a baby I was remarkably still and quiet, absorbing the world in mesmerized silence. In school I was known as the quiet girl. I used to think that was a bad thing, but it’s amazing what you can hear when you actually listen.

Pen writing "tell your story" on notebook

Listening leads to writing, and that has led me here, doing The Best Job In The World.

Since 2014 I have been helping people write and publish the true stories of their lives and honing my craft through consistent writing practice. I have produced over a dozen books for clients, published my own personal essays, participated in a writing critique group, and read stacks of memoirs and books on the art of memoir. This is my passion. I feel so lucky to have found it, and can’t imagine my life without it.

True to my name, I strive to make the process of creating a book both peaceful and victorious. Writing is an act of discovery, and I believe that the journey is just as important as the destination.
